The backbone of almost any charitable organization is its volunteers. An organization such as ours is not a business, and so the usual business principle of "the harder you work, the more money you make" does not apply here. In fact, the harder we work at saving babies, the more money, of necessity, we spend. However, the cost of what we do would probably be doubled, if we had to rely entirely on paid staff and paid outside help to accomplish our tasks. Hence, our volunteers are just as responsible as our contributors (and many are both) for the success of our work.

We are constantly in need of more volunteers, but lately this need had grown even more acute. Due to the growth of our Family Room, expansion of our fundraising programs, increased counseling workload, and many other projects, there is something for almost anyone to do. A short informative orientation is required.

We are not asking for a huge commitment of time. We casusually accomplish what we need to do if we get a lot of people assisting us as they are able.
