Our volunteers come from many walks of life and have varied talents and interests. They do, however, all share one burning desire---to save babies from the evil of abortion, and to rescue their moms and families from a lifetime of regret. They also want to do all they can, in love and compassion, to lessen the burdens and concerns that drove our clients to seek abortion in the first place.

Many of our staff members began as volunteers. Judy Cicero, our Director of Client Services since 1987, served as a volunteer for nearly two years prior to joining the staff. Our founder, Conrad Wojnar, spent about three years working nearly full-time hours as a volunteer before becoming a staff member.

Others have continued to volunteer, even after leaving staff positions. For instance, Shannon Shaw continues to assist our work as a development volunteer after leaving the staff position of Development Director.

Some of our volunteers work full time---or more---after retiring from another career! Charles Budas puts in up to 60 hour weeks in the administrative offices, many years after retiring from his cosmetology business. Fran Shambro, a retired salesperson, works nearly full-time hours on a variety of administrative, fundraising and chapel projects. Many faithful volunteers have been putting in 1 to 3 days a week for as long as thirteen years!

Volunteers are an essential resource. Any useful task, done in a spirit of service and generosity has immense spiritual, as well as practical benefits to the work of the organization. And the spiritual benefits are tremendous. Like they say---the pay isn't much, but the benefits are out of this world!
